I was surprised at how different Canadian programming is than the States.
The most obvious is a generous injection of crappy French music videos and a few all French channels. One for news and one for variety type shows. French Canadians are a very confused people. They're stuck between a European culture and a North American attitude. You have fat guys dressed like they think they're Euro-trash models...I got to see a lot of this first hand when I went through Montreal on Sunday.
Many of the other specialty programs have completely different shows! HGTV has two that I'm kind of hooked on right now. Holmes on Homes. This contractor dude goes around to bad contract work done on houses, guts it, explains why they fucked up, and then does it better X 100. The guy must spend approx. the cost of the house on the new renovations. But it's amazing.
The second is Design Interns. A bunch of lame yuppies in Toronto work on group projects for an established design firm, and screw up royally because they didn't go to Drexel University for diversity training. Well, they just can't work together!
Besides this and other shows, I'm hooked on Heroes right now and my usual anime downloads (Naturo and Bleach)
Leave some more suggestions for stuff to watch since we're all into TV programmes right now. OMG I just spelled program in French! Time to go.
I will have a more official Canadian update soon. I have lots of pics to share!

If you ever see it on, watch Trailer Park Boys. It's a Canadian show about a couple of rejects living in a trailer park trying to make money off of retarded schemes. Mostly they just grow dope and end up getting arrested somehow but the show is fucking hilarious.

I just remembered. There's a really good show on called "Regenesis." I downloaded and watched the first season, and Xoph has watched both season 1 and 2.. I believe it's in the middle of 2 right now. It's a show similar to CSI, only I can personally vouch for the validity of the science that they are showcasing. It's very accurate.
It's about a group of scientists that try to prevent global bio-terrorism. The acting, writing, and story are all top notch. You should check it out.
